WOW, just WOW! The best deep tissue massage of my life! My son also received a Swedish massage and he was just as equally satisfied with his massage as well! I was hesitant coming in because I prefer a female masseuse and I was put completely at ease by Jonathan's friendly and professional demeanor... AND the aesthetics of his massage room are WONDERFUL... the room smells great...Jonathan uses high quality essential oils throughout your massage... during mine and my son's massage he had a nice scented candle going as well and in addition, the room had crystal lamps and a water machine to relax you... but nothing compares to his massage table! Jonathan has the creme de la creme of massage tables, the table is basically made out of a tempur pedic material that molds to your body and is super comfortable and heated!! I could go on for hours about how comfortable this massage table is... I'm definitely a visual person and I can't relax and enjoy my massage if my environment isn't pleasing to my eyes. This massage place goes above and beyond in being a beautiful relaxing place... it also has parking! On top of that, Jonathan gave me the best massage of my life.. I frequently get massages from different places to find the massage that is the best, I've definitely found it at Firm Hands! My back felt so amazingly wonderful after my massage that I felt like I had a different body. Jonathan is very kind and professional. He is in every sense of the word, a healer. He has a true gift of healing through his massages.

At this point in my life, i would almost consider myself a massage connoisseur! I have tried all types of massages from the inexpensive $20 Foot Spa massage all the way up to massages provided at full service spas such as Burke Williams, Glen Ivy or upscale hotels - and of course - everything in between. I know how beneficial they can be in regards to pain management, stress reduction and just a plain ole enjoyable time!

Jonathan provided me with a Back, Neck and Shoulder massage and I was surprised with how knowledgable he was with my problem areas just by feeling around with his hands. He pinpointed each of my knots and possible reasons as to why they were there/what caused them. He was attentive & a great listener who adjusted his gentle approach to DEEP tissue when I vocalized my preference.

One of the most valuable and unique parts of the massage was the stretching, even though this is common in most massages. Jonathan was able to do some thorough, deep yet gentle stretching (to your level of comfort/ability) both BEFORE and AFTER the massage which is what made it unique. He mentioned that this stretching helped loosen the muscles/ surrounding areas enough to allow his hands to maneuver the knots/have more room to work initially - then, to solidify the breaking up of the knot afterward. This is something that NO OTHER massage therapist had ever told me or practiced on me and I truly feel that this small addition made a BIG difference! I still am feeling loose and relaxed nearly a week later.

Finally, Jonathan helps you to understand the importance of good posture / rolling shoulders backwards in order to sit appropriately, etc.. He is an extremely kind hearted and warm natured person and would recommend him to all my friends!!

I was having a lot of neck and shoulder pain that wouldn't go away with stretching, drinking water, Epsom salt bath, or Anti inflammatories. My boyfriend took the initiative to book me a 30min head/neck/back massage with Johnathon since he couldn't give me one himself while in Morocco. It was not only convenient to where I live (I walked), it was exactly what I needed! Johnathon knows his stuff and this is coming from someone who has a kinesiology degree and worked in the field of physical therapy for many years! He is very professional with a great sense of humor. I immediately started feeling relief from all the tension and walked out without the headache I had for the past 2 days! I can't wait to experience a full 60 minute massage during my next appointment!
